New Video – ‘Walk Gently on the Earth’

Check out the new video for ‘Walk Gently on the Earth’ edited by 13yo environmental campaigner, Frankie Bouchier. It features images of plastic pollution from around the world with images of pristine Australian wilderness, donated from Ocean Recovery Alliance, Tangaroa Blue Foundation: Australian Marine Debris Initiative and Richard Green Photography and includes the footsteps of His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Co-edited by Ivan Brownrigg, International Association of Human Values Australia.

Sales of this song contribute to Ocean Recovery Alliance, focused on improving the ocean environment and finding solutions for plastic pollution. Download on iTunes

Written and co-produced by Jane and produced by Barbara Griffin, the recording features Stu Hunter on Wurlitzer, Middle Eastern percussion by Giosofatto ‘Jess’ Ciampa, and Indian Dilruba & Tambora by Dwaipayana who also leads the Sanskrit chanting. Drums by Hamish Stuart, bass by James Haselwood, with keys and programming by Barbara Griffin, this track is mixed by David Hemming and mastered at Sterling Sound, NYC.

The Sanskrit verses on the song are from Sri Isopanisad. A simple translation is that we are all connected to the divine, and the world has enough for everyone if we take our share or quota and no more. If we are not greedy, we have an abundant universe! Chanters include Dwaipayana, Sarah Sweeting, Ivan Brownrigg, Claire Scobie, Gretel Packer, Melissa Halliday and Jane.
